YouTube Channel Transcript
Point it at a channel and it works through the videos on that channel for you, rather than you collecting links by hand.
Paste a YouTube channel link
Free, up to 10 videos per run. Resume for the next batch.
Nothing processed yet
Paste a YouTube link above and press Fetch transcripts. Each video comes back as its own card.
Any link shape works
Videos, Shorts, playlists, channels, or a bare video ID. Duplicates are removed.
Real captions, not guesses
Human-written captions are preferred, with YouTube's automatic ones as the fallback.
Copy or download
Copy as clean prose or with timestamps, or export TXT, SRT, VTT and JSON.
Playlists and channels
Process a whole playlist or channel in the background and watch progress as it goes.
Availability
Whole-channel processing is free and needs no account, like everything else here. A run covers up to 10 videos, and a channel with more than that is read across several runs — the tool remembers where it stopped and offers to carry on.
How channel processing works
- The channel is resolved. Handle URLs,
/channel/UC…URLs, and the older/c/and/user/forms are all recognised. - The Videos tab is read, page by page, until the limit is reached.
- Transcripts run in the background with a live progress bar, and you can cancel at any point.
- Results arrive in channel order, ready to copy or download.
Which videos are included
The channel's Videos tab is used by default. If you paste a URL that ends in
/shorts or /streams, that tab is read instead. Membership-only, private and deleted videos are skipped.
Limitations
Transcripts are read from the captions YouTube already publishes for a video. This tool does not download video or audio files, and it does not run speech recognition — so a video with no captions of any kind cannot be transcribed here.
A run covers 10 videos, so a channel with hundreds is read across many runs rather than one long job. Each run is resumable, and a finished run is held for an hour — but a server restart clears anything still in flight, and that run would need starting again.
Frequently asked questions
- Is whole-channel processing free?
- Yes. It is free and needs no account, like every other tool here.
- How many videos can one run process from a channel?
- Up to 10 in one run. It is not unlimited — a channel with more videos than that is read across several runs, resuming where the last one stopped.
- Which channel URL should I paste?
- Any of them work: the @handle form, the /channel/UC… form, or the older /c/ and /user/ forms. Add /videos, /shorts or /streams to choose which tab is read.
- Why is my channel showing fewer videos than it has?
- Either the 10-video limit was reached — resume the run for the next batch — or the videos are Shorts or live streams, which live on different tabs. Paste the /shorts or /streams URL to read those.
- Can I transcribe a channel I do not own?
- The tool reads publicly available captions, so it works on public channels. It will not get transcripts for private or members-only videos.
Diagnostics — when a video will not load
Runs each retrieval method against one video and reports exactly what YouTube said. The fastest way to tell a blocked network apart from a video that simply has no captions.
